April 30, 2026: ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (ICAR-CIFT) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Ms. Anakha Suresh, Paw and Kin, Kochi, for the development of functional pet food products. The MoA exchange was organized during the 69^th Foundation Day celebrations of ICAR-CIFT, on 29^th April 2026, highlighting the institute’s continued efforts to strengthen industry linkages and promote technology transfer.

Paw & Kin is a well-known pet retail destination in Panampilly Nagar, Kochi. Formerly operating as a franchise of Heads Up For Tails (HUFT), the establishment has transitioned into an independent brand.

Under the agreement, ICAR-CIFT will provide technical know-how and product development support for functional pet foods. The collaboration aims to enable the development of scientifically validated, value-added pet food products, reinforcing ICAR-CIFT’s role in supporting entrepreneurship and innovation in the fisheries sector.
