ICAR-CIFT has optimized the high-aspect-ratio Suberkrub otterboard for midwater trawling. The otterboard has a length of 100cm and height of 135cm with each unit weighing 115kg. They are vertically cambered, sheer-drag ratio exceeding 6, characterised by better hydrodynamic efficiency resulting in wide mouth opening.
