ICAR-CIFT Partners with Dharini Foods to Develop Millet-Based Extruded Products

The ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (ICAR-CIFT), Kochi, has entered into a consultancy agreement with Dharini Foods, Ernakulam, for the development of millet-based extruded products. The agreement was formally signed on 5^th February 2026.

Dharini Foods is a woman-led startup engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of millet puffs designed to have minimal health hazards and safe for children and the elderly. This association is expected to strengthen product innovation, enhance quality standards, and promote the commercialization of healthier snack options.

This partnership reflects ICAR-CIFT’s continued commitment to supporting startups and promoting the development of nutritious food products through scientific and technological interventions.
