
The ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (ICAR-CIFT), Kochi, has signed an agreement with Marble Valley Foods and Beverages Pvt. Ltd., Tamil Nadu, for the transfer of technologies for the production of value-added products from fish and shellfish.
Under the agreement, ICAR-CIFT will provide technical expertise and process guidance to development and optimisation of Frozen Ready-to-Eat Fish Curries, Dried and Salt-cured Fish Products, and Ready-to-Eat Shrimp Chutney Powder. The collaboration brings together ICAR-CIFT’s research-based technologies and Marble Valley’s industrial experience in seafood processing and export. The scientific team from ICAR-CIFT includes Dr. C.O. Mohan, Dr. Remya S., Dr. Pankaj Kishore, Dr. Parvathy U., Dr. Sarika K., and Dr. Sreepriya Prakasan.
Marble Valley Foods and Beverages Pvt. Ltd. is a leading processor and exporter of fresh and frozen seafood products in India, with a focus on high-quality fish and seafood-based products. This partnership is expected to promote product diversification, improve the utilisation of marine resources, and strengthen the availability of value-added seafood products for both domestic and international markets.
