A skill development training program on “Hygienic Dry Fish Production Technology” was organized by the Engineering Division of ICAR-CIFT, Cochin from 28 to 29th Sep 2022 for the beneficiaries of the DST-funded MSTCS project. The training program was attended by 20 beneficiaries from the Kadamakudy Grama Panchayath, Ernakulam. The hands-on training program covered all aspects of hygienic dry fish production technology including handling and pre-processing of fish, drying of fish in the solar hybrid dryer, quality and packaging of dried fish, value-added fishery products, and fishery waste management opportunities. At the end of the training program, participation certificates were issued to beneficiaries jointly by Dr. George Ninan, HOD, Engineering Division, ICAR-CIFT and Dr. A. K. Mohanty, Head, EIS Division, in presence of Dr. Murali S (PI of DST-MSTCS project) and other staff members of ICAR-CIFT, Cochin.
