As a part of implementation and promotion of Official Language in Veraval Research Centre of ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology a one day workshop on ‘Official Language and Its Implementation’ was conducted on 6 January, 2017. Shri L.D. Dhamal, Deputy Director (OL), Office of Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Rajkot was the resource person. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. G.K. Sivaraman, Scientist Incharge of the Centre. Smt. Nimmy S. Kumar, Technical Assistant (Hindi Translator) welcomed the chair and the audience. Dr. K.K. Prajith, Scientist gave the felicitation speech.  

The workshop was very interactive and Shri Dhamal created awareness about the importance of Official Language in the daily official work. Shri Dhamal also explained how our culture is incorporated with our National Language and how should it be passed on to our next generation. There were 20 participants in the workshop and it mainly discussed the major factors related to the language and its implementation. It also discussed about the possibilities and limitations of Official Language in official works. The workshop concluded with an inspirational decision by the staff to give their best for the progressive official language implementation. Dr. A.K. Jha, Scientist proposed the vote of thanks.
