The Director of Fisheries Department, Govt. of Kerala Dr Adeela Abdulla, IAS made a visit to ICAR-CIFT, Cochin on 30 September, 2022. She interacted with the Heads of Divisions of the institute regarding the latest developments in harvest and post-harvest sectors of fisheries. Initially, Director, ICAR-CIFT Dr Leela Edwin highlighted the research achievements of the institute and its developmental initiatives for the sector. Being impressed with the CIFT research accomplishments, she showed keen interest for strengthening the collaboration with ICAR-CIFT, Cochin in the domain of energy saving fishing, sustainable fisheries, fishprenureship development and fish waste utilization keeping eye upon the specific problems of the region.
